Welcome to the Interplay website. 
Interplay is a modern jazz quintet based in Essex. The music features some of the great hard bop tunes of the Blue Note era, good old- fashioned standards and a selection of tunes from the best of British including Tubby Hayes, Ian Hamer and Simon Spillet (pictured below guesting with the band)

As well as residencies in two local pubs the band plays pubs, clubs, and private functions across south-east England. In August 2008 they made their international debut at the Langourla Jazz Festival in France.
The Band features John Seeley on tenor saxophone and clarinet, Tony Pethen on alto and soprano, David Warren on electric guitar, Martin Gibbons on Bass and Richard Dray on drums.
